Image worlds for a form of theatre that exists nowhere else: moving screens and moving grandstands.
In 14-18, moving screens and grandstands carry the audience through the production. The image therefore changes continuously in distance, angle and context, and a fixed backdrop does not work. We developed a continuous visual layer timed to the direction and to the moment the grandstand shifts.

14-18 is not a theatre performance in the classic sense. With moving screens and grandstands that carry the audience through the production, the image continuously changes in distance, angle and context. A fixed backdrop does not work then, the visual content has to be just as mobile as the staging around it.
We developed image worlds built around that movement: timed to the direction, tuned to the position of each screen and to the moment the grandstand shifts. Not separate images, but a continuous visual layer that carries the transition between scenes.
The result is content that reinforces the scale of the production and does not let the audience watch the story, but places them right inside it.
