What is 3D interior visualisation?

3D interior visualisation is the making of photorealistic images of a space based on a design, floor plan or moodboard. The space only exists digitally, but the visual reads like an interior photograph: materials, light, scale and styling are right. For interior designers, hospitality concept developers and retail brands, this is the difference between explaining an idea and selling an idea.

— for whom

02 / 06

Three types of client this works for.

01

Interior design studios

Present a concept to the client before the budget decision, with visualisations at the level of an interior magazine.

02

Hospitality & retail

Validate new restaurant, hotel or retail concepts: make atmosphere, light and guest experience visible before construction.

03

Concept developers

Pitch material for investors, franchisees or permit processes, visually competitive with photography.

— approach

03 / 06

How we work, briefly, in four steps.

01

Briefing & moodboard

Floor plan, material selection, reference images, desired atmosphere and the goal of the visual (sales, pitch, publication).

02

Concept & camera choices

Camera positions at eye level; composition modelled on interior photography, not on architectural perspective.

03

Material & light

Materials, textures and lighting mood are worked out separately, that is where the difference between render and photo sits.

04

Review & delivery

One or two feedback rounds; delivery in all required formats and resolutions.

— what you get

04 / 06

Concrete delivery, no vague promises.

  • 01Hero stills in high-res (print and web format)
  • 02Detail and atmosphere images at eye level
  • 03Floor plan or axonometric overviews
  • 04Day and evening variants (lighting mood)
  • 05Material close-ups for moodboards
  • 06Optional: camera move or short animation

— frequently asked questions

06 / 06

Answers to what clients usually ask first.

What does a 3D interior visualisation cost?
The price depends on complexity, the number of images, material detail and deadline. A set of 3 to 5 stills for a hospitality concept is usually between €1,500 and €6,000. Send your briefing for a concrete project estimate.
How long does an interior visualisation take?
An individual still takes 5 to 10 working days; a set of 3 to 5 images takes on average 2 to 4 weeks from an approved concept. Rush work is possible on request.
What input do I supply?
A floor plan (CAD, SketchUp, Revit or PDF), material and colour selections, a moodboard or reference images and, if available, furniture and fixture specifications. The more specific the input, the sharper the image.
Do you also work from a moodboard without a final design?
Yes. In concept development the visual work starts early. We advise on camera, atmosphere and styling in parallel with the design process.
Can we see multiple style variants of the same space?
Yes, variants in material, colour, lighting mood or time of day are efficient once the base model is built. Ideal for concept pitches and A/B choices with the client.
May we use the images for press, print and social media?
Yes, all rights to use the delivered images are included in the project as standard. Beyond3D may show the visuals in its own portfolio unless agreed otherwise.
Do you work for interior studios throughout the Netherlands?
Yes, and in Belgium. We work entirely from our own studio: briefing and alignment take place remotely, via call, shared references and clear interim rounds. Location therefore makes no difference to the result.
